Conceiving a Girl

Studies recently carried out suggest that almost half of all couples would like to have choice over the gender of their baby.  Most couples will have heard of the medical procedure known as artificial insemination but the cost of this procedure costs too much for them to use it.  For these couples there are things that these couples can do like thousands of others which can improve their chances of conceiving a girl.

But before any couple gets started they need to understand that the gender of a baby born is largely dependent on the sperm produced by the man.  For those of you couples wanting to have a baby girl then the sperm carrying the X chromosome needs to fertilize the egg.  Therefore this sperm carrying the female gene needs to be provided with the necessary advantages.

One method that is commonly used by couples it to make love 2 or 3 days before ovulation takes place.  This method helps to ensure that at greater number of the sperm carrying the Y chromosome (male gene) is eliminated.

Another thing a couple should be aware of is that female sperm is much stronger and durable and can survive in harsh conditions unlike their male counterparts.  Knowing this a woman can create the kind of conditions that female sperm can thrive in.  Using douches before one makes love will help to increase the acidic levels in the vagina which female sperm can cope with.

Also along with using douches a woman should ensure that she consumes foods high in magnesium as well.  These simple changes are going to help in increasing the pH levels in your body which are beneficial to the sperm carrying the female chromosome in them.

But it isn’t just when a couple makes love or the environment of the vagina that are important to improving the chances of them conceiving a girl.  The position in which they make love can have an effect on whether the child they have is a boy or a girl.  It is important that the man’s penis does not penetrate too far into the vagina allowing the female sperm more time to travel up to meet the egg.

The kinds of positions couples should be using in their love making should be one’s like that known as the missionary.  This will help to ensure that the ejaculated sperm remains closer to the vagina’s entrance which tends to be a lot more acidic.  Also when making love it is important that the woman tries not to orgasm as fluids will be released that can reduce the levels of acid in her womb.

Through using the methods we mention above there is a much greater chance of a couple being able of conceiving a girl together.  Yet don’t expect results immediately especially if changes in one’s diet are being made to increase the levels of acid within the woman’s womb.
